Sometimes QuickBooks setup and QuickBooks training can be approached simultaneously. For newbies, here’s our usual approach.
We generally start by introducing the QuickBooks customer billing features, including creating invoices. It helps to start with processes folks understand well, like who owes them money and why. Which smoothes over any minor anxiety about learning new software. And we train with actual company data to keep things relevant.
“QuickBooks training involves QuickBooks expertise and a genuine interest in helping people grow their companies.”

Once a few customer invoices have been entered, we take a look at the QuickBooks Accounts Receivable reports. Folks generally relax visibly at this point because the user friendly interface and awesome power of the resultant reports is obvious.
Introducing the flip side of QuickBooks, the Vendor Center and Accounts Payable, is usually a snap, because the interface and reports here are so similar to the Customer components. And of course, folks understand about paying vendors; they just have to see how QuickBooks handles these common tasks.
Next we show how QuickBooks internal documentation works by examining some issue that came up in the Customer and Vendor training. Then we introduce the sample companies that come packaged with QuickBooks. For folks so inclined, exploring these sample companies, usually by just wandering around a bit through them once we leave, literally explodes their overall understanding of QuickBooks.
Of course, QuickBooks training can be highly customized. Often, company specific tasks need addressing.
