We have clients we’ve never met. But they get excellent service.
Our virtual office evolved over time. It started with clients who moved and still remained with the firm. The virtual office adds convenience for our local Wilmington area clients too. Components include:
- Client Portal. Security and convenience are hallmarks of the portal system. We hang your important documents in a dedicated, password protected online folder. You view the document at your convenience. Print it or copy to your computer as desired. You can also hang documents. We get a notification when you’ve done so. The portal operates through CPA Site Solutions, which boasts multi-layered encryption, redundant backups and over 5000 CPA clients nation wide. This works great for files too large to e-mail. The setup takes a few minutes. Some clients prefer Drop Box to accomplish these same goals.
- Electronic Signature. We can send you a password protected document via an e-mail through Echo Sign. You review the document when convenient and digitally sign it. Copies get sent to all the parties.
- Google Docs. Imagine we’re doing four years of back taxes for you that include a small business component. After discussion by phone, we set up a spreadsheet where you can enter figures for all four years by category. Google Docs sends you a link. You sign into your own Google Docs account (which is free) and then complete the spreadsheet.
- Extended Hour Phone Appointments. Guaranteed on time. International clients need accommodation for time zone differences. Local clients appreciate being able to speak with us “after hours”. Saturday appointments available.
- QuickBooks Accountant Copies. You can send us your QB file via the client portal or by e-mail. Keep working with no disruption of use. You can re-import our changes seamlessly.
- Video Calls. We use Droid cell phones.
- E-Mail. We acknowledge and answer e-mails daily. When we hear complaints about other CPAs, the complaint is usually based on non-responsiveness.
- Fax. Sometimes it is just easier to fax us a document.
